WoW Multiboxing
This is all about the multiboxing in World of Warcraft. A very funny way to play with several more characters at one time. You can fill up the inn, make /train , run dungeons in normal or heroic mode, play battlegrounds, arenas or world pvp by yourself only. And best of all it's not forbidden by Blizz.
Multiboxing is a term used to denote one user playing multiple accounts simultaneously. This can be done using one or more machines. Solutions exist for both the PC and Mac. There are also solutions for using both PC and Mac at the same time. The following pages contain more detailed information than presented here, Multiboxing hardware, Multiboxing software, Multiboxing macros, and Scripts. Multivoxing is stated legal by Blizzard which makes the whole idea even more interesting.

You may have already seen people moving around in group of several all of them from one class or race. They are multiboxers. People who use special software to control more than one character at the same time. Why should they do that? To grind dungeouns, to play pvp to level easy or to make big money. But how? If you have at your command several players you can explore harder dungeons to kill bosses... in one word to gather money, materials and many more quicker than ever. Off course If you know how to do it. I remember a guy who was not so attracted by pvp or pve even that the game itself is all about these two aspects. Nah, he was more interested in the economy that exists in this game and he used multiboxing to make money like grinding, killing hard groups of monsters in hard dungeons and then sell the loot in the auction houses. You know what kind of drop to expect in hard dungeon but you are not able to run it by yourself, right? You need a group. What if you need a group all day and the day after tomorrow, and then the next few days. I used to call such groups " Me, Myself and I" parties.

But Others prefer to try their skills in battlegrounds or world pvp. It's harder to pvp with such kind of software than just killing mindless beasts controlled by the game. But everone has his own reasons to use it. You can level several different characters at one time. To level in group is always quicker and safer no matter the type of server pvp or pve. The official statement about this type of software is as follows: " Multiboxing is a term used to denote one user playing multiple accounts simultaneously. This can be done using one or more machines. Typically you will have 1 player controlling multiple characters at the same time. "For example, in World of Warcraft, 1 person can control 5 Mages, Hunters, Shamans or other classes at the same time. I just thought of something - think about multiple ambushes... Playing with 5 Rogues can be really..really nasty, what do you think? I played undead rogue for almost 4 years that is the reason to think about such nasty tricks.

Multiboxing solutions exist for both the PC and Mac. Imagine if you can rush an instance (normal or heroic) with all 5 of your own characters or to level super fast with several characters all of them guided by you only. I know it sounds hard but only till you try it. What about enter an arena with one, two or more of your own characters (I admit it can be quite a mess if you try 5vs5 with no training hehe). Sure you must have some skills to play arenas or at least some previous experience, because if you didn't played before the number of the super duper characters you control at the same time is not really important.
WoW multiboxing is great for the loot fiend. Running five man group you get to keep all the loot and emblems or whatever is the drop for yourself, and gear up your team extremely quickly. You'll also be able to go dungeon farming whenever you like, on your terms.

If you want to effectively multibox you'll need some sort of software to help you control your characters. Wow multiboxing software is allowed by blizzard as long as it isn't a bot. Trying to multibox without multiboxing software is practically impossible (imagine trying to switch windows by hand and cast spells with multiple characters). If you are not sure you can handle it, may be it's better to start with two characters just to get some boxing experience. Druid and shaman is excellent duo, paladin and priest, hunter and warclock etc.
Its funny to rush normals and heroics by yourself only. Well with a couple of "friends" created and controlled by you.

Meantime for some players there is not enough challenge in playing only one character at a time. There are also people who don't want to rely on others to play the game when one character is not enough.
An interesting fact is that multiboxing is a game play style accepted by Blizzard The multiboxing solutions do not violate Blizzard's EULA for the World of Warcraft game. (Sure they accept this since you are paying for the game copy and game time.) Well since the latest changes for trials which Blizz recently announced that you can play for free to level 20 which can be great if you planning to level and gear up several twinks.

To use multibox
in World of Warcraft, you will need 1 World of Warcraft registered account per game client you wish to multibox (example: 5 characters = 5 accounts) This means you will have to purchase multiple copies of the game, including all required expansions. You'll have to pay for every account you want to multibox a character on. That means 5 world of warcraft accounts.
Note: You can multibox using trial accounts. However, to form a party, your leader must be a paid account. Or you can play at non official server (private servers) if you don't want to play at the official one. Just google for private wow server.

There are multiple methods of broadcasting keystrokes from one client to another, either on the same machine or across multiple machines.
Mouse broadcasting is the method from which you use and activate your mouse from 1 main game window and it has reflected actions upon other game windows. While this is not needed for all forms of multiboxing, it is a boon to those who play Mage / Warlock / Druid classes due to the requirement those classes have to target area-of-effect type of spells.

If you want to play at blizzard's servers you will need to purchase the game, and depending on needs the expansion as well, for each account you wish to run simultaneously. A minimum of one installation of the game software must be present on each computer. If you don't have the game buy it from Amazon or whatever you find it. By the way you can also buy used copies of world of warcraft at lower price, nice eh? One more thing - Blizzard have the "Recruit a friend" opportunity and you can use it to activate your other accounts cheaper than usually.

World of Wacraft
isn't heavy game in terms of hardware requirements, but running several more copies can be though task. For this issue it's better to have better than moderate pc configuration. If you intend to run 2 men party only you'll be just fine with your old system.
One single installation directory can be used to open multiple instances of the game client. It is not necessary to have multiple WoW directories on a machine to run multiple WoW Windows.

Class selection: This depends on both your playstyle and the type of server you play on. For the ability to heal and dish out burst damage choose a Priest and four Mages. Other options are to replace the Mages with Warlocks, replace the Priest with another healer class like Druid, Shaman for example, or a Paladin. Mages, Shamans and Dk's are extremely popular for multiboxing at the moment. A very popular "one-class" choice is to have multiple Shamans. Due to the macros, one set of shamans in a battleground can simultaneously cast Chain Lightning, which can effectively destroy even the hardiest of twinks.

Due to game mechanics picking two classes is far easier to deal with than using three or more classes. Even if five different classes is more appropriate being able to direct it is another issue. It comes down to how consistent the actions between the classes are and how the hotkeys can best be shared between them. When you are beginning multiboxing it is recommended to limit the number of classes. When you start to learn the multiboxing mechanics you may try with more classes and characters. Conversely, if PvP is your primary objective, you may wish to pick names that all sound alike so that opponents using voice communication like ventrilo or teamspeak etc. can't easily designate one of your targets. Changing letter combinations (e.g. Frosty, Froasty, Froste, Frostie) or substituting certain vowels (e.g. Boylston, Boylstun, Boylsten) may cause a slight delay in one of your characters being focused-fired upon in an Arena. In World of Warcraft for your multiboxing career you can pick different classes like rogues and paladin, priests and warrior whatever you like and suits to your gameplay or wishes.

If you prefer to play in your free time in PVE server you will probably pick a group of classes suitable for dungeons a whole "Me, Myself and I" party. If you playing in PVP server then the choise is whole yours. Blizzard's approach on the Multi-Boxing is that at least a person is controlling all the characters so therefore it's not illegal. As long as there is someone on ther other side of that character making that character do it's thing, it's fine. So with multiboxing you can level several characters at once, grind more money and materials sell it in auction house, rush in dungeons and get all the loot, make other players look silly on battlegrounds or world pvp. Since this is not against Blizzard tos as they officialy noted, so why not using it.

PwnBoxer created in 2009, Pwnboxer is a PC only multiboxing software. It has a drag and drop ability to set the size and location of wow windows. A user can bind any key such as F1, Numpad0, to "broadcast" to their entire multiboxed group of characters. Users can also broadcast mouse movements to cast AOE spells such as Blizzard and Flamestrike. PwnBoxer also can control CPU usage by setting different wow's to different cpu. An example would be setting your primary wow to cpu 1 and 3 additional wow's to cpu 2. This allows your PC the ability to run multiple copies of World of Warcraft without additional hardware. In addition to keyboard and mouse multiboxing features, this software also has a built-in in game web browser, allow you to browse websites such as Curse or Wowwik without exiting the game window. You can also chat with multiboxing gamers worldwide through built-in chat functions.

The software also has extra features such as video recording and network monitoring, two functions gamers often take advantage of. I hope you have great fun using it!
